Saturday 30th June

Peter Pan
Chalkfoot's inventively staged interpretation of Peter Pan is a must for family audiences this summer. Follow Peter and Wendy through the twilight skies to Neverland, a fantasy world for children far beyond the reach of disapproving parents. But Neverland isn't the safe playground Wendy imagines - the terrifying Captain Hook lies in waiting for any opportunity to capture Peter and his friends.

The Coal Porters
This fantastic 5-piece acoustic bluegrass & country-rock band have performed at the Royal Festival Hall, the Barbican and the World of Bluegrass Festival in Kentucky.

Saturday 7th July

On The Horizon
This scenic dance and drama event at and around the Amphitheatre introduces young, emerging performers from Shepway in a dynamic piece of movement, voice and vision. It is choreographed by Loop Dance Company and Passion Art.

Sunday 8th July
2.30pm to 4.30pm
Rig
This 4-piece band plays roots and blues music centred on acoustic guitar, vocals and bass, with the occasional sound of harmonica. The band digs deep into a collective archive of spirited songs and musicianship ideal for acoustic guitar - slide, lead and finger clicking styles.

Elzef
La musique francaise! Coming across the channel for this event, Elfez are unclassifiable; think of brass played with the punk energy of the Pogues, the quirky electronica of Matt Herbert and the burlesque of Tom Waits and you're nearly there. Elfez have built a strong following based on highly energised live shows, characterised by rapid mood swings and humorous, surrealist humour - electric music highlighted by instrumental efficiency and intensity.

Palenke
Pulses will really race to the music of London's leading Latin American dance band! Listen or dance to the hot-blooded tempo of Cuban Salsa, Brazilian Lambada, traditional folk rhythms of Colombian Cumbria and Dominican Merengue, the latest Latin pop, Caribbean Reggae and universally popular Spanish style 'Gypsy Kings' - this is the place to be on this Saturday evening!

Robin Hood
Bring rugs and a picnic and enjoy this most enduring of English legends, Robin Hood and his adventures in Sherwood Forest, in an exciting and riotous new open-air show.

Sound Waves IV
Following the success of last year, this event returns to the beach in front of Mermaids Cafe Bar. A selection of local bands will showcase their music; with the renowned 7-peice ska-punk band from the south east, Battleska Galactica, taking the final stage.

Steel pan meets kora in this dynamic African Caribbean fusion.

Little Red Riding Hood
Krazy Kat Theatre Company is coming to Folkestone! Children aged 3 to 10yrs can join a workshop and discover ways to make theatre and play using mime, dance, song and lots more. Then watch the show of Little Red Riding Hood - thrill at the silliness, swoon at the Granniness and squeal at the Furriness! With puppets, juggling, music and dancing, this fast moving production features fully integrated British Sign Language.

Teddy Bears Picnic
If you go down to the Amph, today, you're sure of a big surprise... Yes, it's the Teddy Bears picnic time again. So bring your teddy and a grown-up to join in the fun.

Expressive Feat
Mobile trapeze workshops - bringing the circus to you! Working on a freestanding aerial rig, participants can learn some of the graceful and powerful skills of an aerialist. There will be 5 x 40 minute sessions limited to 10 places each, so be prepared to get there early to put your name on the list.

Zig Zag Art

Cheap Suit Blues Band
The band has been regularly gigging on the Kent and Sussex circuit for the past eight years sharing their mutual enthusiasm for the classic R&B and Blues that energised Britain during the 60's and 70's. They are a four piece, electric line up playing in a hard hitting style.

The stage will be rocking to the sounds of three bands, The Dayfull, The Mighty Hush and Peter Brame.

An Audience With Albert Einstein
The Natural Theatre Company presents a light hearted look at the story of Albert Einstein's life and work in the form of an entertaining 'lecture' by the clone of the great man himself.

The Merchant Of Venice
Heartbreak Productions bring Shakespeare to the Amphitheatre. All relationships come under the spotlight - family, friends and lovers - each are subjected to the injuries of money, hatred and justice and each restored by mercy, love and charity.

Jo Wilson Trio
A sophisticated blend of jazz/swing standards and modern pop and soul ballads performed with distinction by Miss Jo Wilson (vocals), Jeremy Marks (piano) and Tim Dawes (double bass). All three have several years experience playing in local bands throughout Kent and the south east.

Folkestone Hootenanny
The Rattlers - back by popular demand, the acoustic music combo that defines definition. White Iris - from Kent to Tennessee, the most talked about band on the country circuit. White Iris - Maids of Kent with the siren songs and harmonies to lift the soul. The Brotherhood - Folk and Country meets Hip Hop at new frontier saloon. Relig Oran - A Heady mix of European, English and Irish songs and tunes from three dynamic musicians. Buick Six - Simply the best country blues band in Europe.

Hound Of The Baskervilles
Illyria bring their special magic to the famous sleuth's adventures. Sherlock Holmes is called to the aid of young Sir Henry Baskerville who has inherited a Dartmoor mansion and the curse of a monstrous hound. Can Holmes and Watson save the day?
