Folkestone Harbour Festival Events - 19th July 2008Folkestone Harbour Festival will start at 10am, continuing throughout the day and finish at around 9pm with a Spectacular Fireworks display in the harbour. Entry is free and all money raised is in aid of the RNLI and other local charities. This years attractions include: The annual Raft Race off Sunny Sands at around midday, followed by the Annual Trawler race and a demonstration yacht race. There will also be a Truck Pull, Gladiators, Bungee Run, Rodeo Bull, Bouncy Castles, Skittle Alley and Dover Lifeboat in the Harbour*. HM Coastguard vessel "Anglian Monarch" Fire Fighting display* will also be entertaining the crowds, along with Air Sea Rescue Helicopter, Funfair and Childrens Rides, Market Stalls, Food Stalls, Tombolla, Helicopter Rides, Sideshows on the Stade and Live Bands all afternoon and into the evening. There will be the Grand Fireworks finale at 9pm and more atractions are still being added. Full timetable will become available shortly. *Lifeboat and Coastguard subject to operational requirements |
