The artists include Mark Wallinger, Tacita Dean, Jeremy Deller, Mark Dion, Christian oltanski and Tracey Emin. Their work will be on display from 14th June until 14th September 2008, and will include temporary pieces of art that will remain for the three months, and permanent artwork that will stay on display througout Folkestone.

The new work that is to be commissioned for the Folkestone Triennial will include sculptures, performances, film, photography and sound work. They will be shown in public spaces such as the harbour, parks, historic buildings and the marine promenade.

The Folkestone Triennial forms part of the regeneration programme being led by The Creative Foundation, which is chaired by Roger De Hann. Other parts to the regeneration of the town include the redevelopment of the Harbour and seafront, the new Folkestone Academy and the Folkestone University Campus which specialises in art and performing arts.
